It’s not every day you hear about an Engineer who loves to write.
While my peers complain about writing reports and creating presentations, I obsess over crafting the perfect narrative. Being an Engineer means creating and discussing complex, technical information; I’ve learned that synthesizing and translating information into a compelling story is a unique skill of mine: storytelling is my superpower.
I’ve leveraged my product design and manufacturing background to identify, create, and pitch products I’ve personally developed, from wildfire detection technology to injection molded children’s toys. But entrepreneurship is where my true passion lies because I have the freedom to innovate and the responsibility to compel others with my vision. The c-suite roles I’ve held in B2B and B2C companies have led to my recognition in Forbes, Daytime Chicago, and the Chicago Tribune, to name a few.
I plan on using my scrappiness from entrepreneurship, technical manufacturing skills from Northwestern, and management skills from Bain towards future design operating/consulting roles. Design requires unique perspectives, and my breadth of experiences give me the tools to solve problems across both hardware and software.
When I’m not fogging up my goggles in the prototyping shop, you can find me trying to teaching four-year olds how to hold a tennis racket, working on a jigsaw puzzle, or gazing at Bay Area sunsets.
